Pfizer vaccine reactions?
#11
A number of my 65+ friends & relatives have gotten the first dose recently. I haven't heard of any concerning reactions. I agree that I hope I do get a reaction to the 2nd shot.

One friend is in the AZ trial. He was absolutely certain he had gotten the placebo as he had no reaction. The trial has a policy that if you have the chance to get another vaccine and want to take it, they will unblind you to let you know whether you received the placebo or the vaccine.

He signed up for the vaccine through CVS and checked in with the trial. They got back to him to say he did receive the AZ vaccine. He then cancelled his CVS appointment.

Just had the Pfizer vaccine 17 hours ago. Shot in left shoulder, I felt a mild tingle in my upper arm that dissipated after about 20 minutes. No other reaction. Shoulder slightly sore, but much less sore than my last flu shot.

Various groups are eligible for vaccines in different political areas.  So teachers, people with comorbidities, grocery workers, agricultural workers, etc. may be eligible in one area and not others.  Also, left-over vaccines that would be otherwise destroyed might be used for anyone (NOT that this is policy, but it makes sense).
