Youth Sports and Mental Health
#1
I posted a link to this on TOS, which was squelched. Let Them Play CA is a group dedicated on getting kids back into competition in CA. The reasons are many, and the personal stories compelling. The mental health aspects of the lockdown on youth sports has been devastating on the state's kids. You may have to join the group to read the stories, but it's well worth it, and no spam will come of it. Before you trash the effort, as the only poster did on TOS did, take a look posts. Many will bring you to tears. Always important to keep an open mind.

Keeping an open mind goes both ways.

Just because people want to do something doesn't mean that it is wise to do so. Otherwise, you might have street racing in front of schools.

This isn't from youth sports, but it shows the level of caution when games are on the line.

Stupidity on her part, no doubt.

47 states are allowing youth sports, including football. California, nope. The physical and mental health of kids in the state is deteriorating rapidly, does Covid instantly get more dangerous when you cross the stateline into CA? Read some of the posts, especially about the ones from parents about the depression in their kids, the suicide attempts, etc.
