California Santa Clara Co. vaccines: 2nd doses
#1
On January 1, SCC (Santa Clara County, CA) had received 39,360 Pfizer and 66,000 Moderna doses (per their website).
On January 6, SCC received 17,320 Pfizer doses.
On January 8, SCC changed their reporting and quit reporting the Pfizer and Moderna separately.  Instead they're reporting 1st and 2nd doses.
The 17,320 Pfizer doses are now listed as 2nd doses.    There was an additional 4,650 first doses received.

As of today, the CDC reports 22,137,350 doses have been distributed.  If we use the US population (vs 18+ population) of 328M (2019) as the per capita number, that's one dose for every 14.8 people, or 6744 per 100K.

Santa Clara County, per its website, has received 127,600 doses for 1.928M people, or one for every 15.1 people. or 6,621 per 100K.
California, per the CDC, has had shipped 2,315,325 doses, for 39.5M people, or one for every 17 people, or 5,859 per 100K.
California, per its website, indicates it has received 2,060,800 doses, or one for every 19.2 people, or 5216 per 100K

BUT NOTE, that some of those doses are 2nd doses, so for SCC, it has received 110,280 first doses, one for every  17.5  people, or 5720 per 100K.

Per San Jose Spotlight, SCC indicates it can not determine how many doses have been administered to residents of SCC because it doesn't have access to numbers from multi-county organizations such as Kaiser (and presumably CVS etc).  It says the state has those numbers.  Apparently the state only publishes the vaccination numbers per region and doesn't break it down into first and second doses.  As best I can tell, the state doesn't indicate the doses allocated to each county (because of the multi-county organizations).

In the 15-county Bay Area region, 185,297 doses have been administered.   The population of those 15 counties is 8,823,965.  Assuming California's estimate of its doses applied to this population indicate about 460,258 doses received.  So about 40% of the doses have been administered.   (Note the 15-county region is different than the Bay Area region for the Regional Stay at Home order.  This region runs from San Benito County along the coast & Bay to the northern border.).   Applying that to the SCC numbers suggests about 44K people have been vaccinated in SCC.

(Per the Spotlight, Stanford Health Care had vaccinated 13,563 people as of Jan 5 out of 25,636 doses as of Jan 6;  Santa Clara Valley Med Center had vaccinated 8,154 as of Jan 6.  Kaiser had vaccinated 45K across 21 hospitals in the Bay Area & Central Valley.   I have not seen anyone indicate how many LTCF or other non-HCW (health care worker) had been vaccinated.  IIRC, SCC PHD was going to try to vaccinate roughly 200 a day,  so maybe 3K or so.)
