Helping your elderly parent get a vaccination - M_T - 01-11-2021

Two people have commented to me about concerns about scheduling their elderly parents to get vaccinated.  Likewise, I have a relative who is in no position to sign up for a vaccination.

I am not a lawyer, but I am pretty sure that if you have a medical power of attorney, you can sign someone up for a vaccination.  So, instead of worrying about them doing it, talk with them and tell them you'll take charge of getting them set up with the vaccination.

If someone isn't completely capable of dealing with getting an appointment, it makes sense for you to already have a medical power of attorney.
